Hey ya'll! Sorry this post is so late. I've been enjoying spending time with family and eating lots of yummy food so I figured it could wait a little longer this time! :)

 

Did you have a wonderful Christmas???

I got a new laptop that runs windows 8 (which I LOVE btw!) and this is my first blog post with it so I'm super excited! I loved all the family time and my mom made an amazing Christmas dinner. Of course our refrigerator decided to mess up that night though so ALL of our leftovers ruined along with some other things. :( I am still very sad about it!

 

I didn't make it to Publix the day after Christmas because I was busy and wasn't able to get a list together so this is my haul from the week before.

 

 

Total before coupons - $102.59

Total after coupons - $43.10

Total savings - $59.49

 

Here's what I got and what I paid for each item after coupon:

Not my best, but there were some things I didn't have coupons for that we had to have.

50th Blog Post! Karas Publix and Kroger Trip 12/12/12

Hello! Hope you're all having a GREAT day!
I did my shopping this morning even though it was freezing outside and I didn't wanna get out of bed! I was up late last night trying to make sure everything was ready and I had all the right coupons so I only got maybe 3 or 4 hours of sleep. It was a good day though! :) I went to Publix and Kroger and then had lunch with my mom.

 

Here's how I did this week at Publix:

 

Total Before Coupons - $183.94

Total After Coupons - $52.73

Savings - $131.21

 

I was soooo excited when I left Publix!

My sister (who lives nearly 2 hours away) will be here later and I can't wait! I get to do this all over again tomorrow with her because she does her shopping on Thursdays and since she doesn't have a Kroger near her she's coming here to shop! We have so much fun together so I know it'll be a good day!

Hello! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far! I did my weekly shopping trip this morning and stocked up on quite a few things! I decided to shop Kroger this week too because Publix only had a few things in the ad that we needed and Kroger was having a better sale on meat. I get so confused with Kroger's coupon policy though and I never do as well as I'd like to when I shop there, but I still like to try because I'm confident that eventually it'll just click and i'll have it figured out!

 

So here's how I did at Kroger:

 

Before Coupons - $151.36

After Coupons - $90.57

Savings - $60.79

 

 

I got:

 

10 - All Laundry Detergents :)))))

1 - Lipton Green Tea

 

My favorite things to stockpile are paper towels and anything laundry or bathroom related! It never gets old and you're always gonna need it! lol The toilet paper ended up being about .37 cents a roll which comes out to be approximately 0.011 cents per square foot. It was definitely a great stock up price! We were desperately needing to stock up on Laundry Detergent because we are about out so I was very glad that it was on sale this week!

 

All total (Kroger & Publix) I was able to get $284.47 worth of groceries for $149.24! Savings of $135.23!

Kara's Publix Trip 11/28/12

Hey everybody! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I spent lots of time with family and stuffed myself til I was nearly sick lol. Then I enjoyed some shopping with my mom, sister and boyfriend from 8 pm to 6:30 am. I LOVE Black Friday! It excites me so much and I know a lot of people say it's crazy and I agree, it is, but I look forward to it all year long! I'm sure it has something to do with getting the same rush as when I'm at the checkout counter with all my coupons. And we all know how addicting that rush is lol. I was finally able to snatch some towels up this year before they were all gone and that was a big accomplishment! We needed the towels last year, but didn't get to them in time so this year it was number one on the list! Do you know how difficult it is to dry off with towels that have holes all in them? lol they were much needed! We was actually able to get everything we were after this year so it was a lot of fun, but very tiring!

 

I didn't get to Publix last week because of Thanksgiving which was fine because we had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner and we had plenty of leftovers so I didn't have to worry about supper for a few nights. I did go to Publix today though and it's a good thing because my dad ate the last of the oreos from my shopping trip the week before last and he had no other snacks in the house (He can seriously eat anything and everything and not gain a pound! Makes me so jealous!) and we needed some things for supper the rest of the week!

 

The Publix ad this week wasn't great and I didn't do my best, but I'm still proud of it so here it is!

 

Total before coupons - $245.49

Total after coupons - $126.57

Total Savings - $118.92

 

 

It doesn't look like a whole lot (maybe that's just me?), but the meat was where most of the money went!
