50th Blog Post! Karas Publix and Kroger Trip 12/12/12

Hello! Hope you're all having a GREAT day!
I did my shopping this morning even though it was freezing outside and I didn't wanna get out of bed! I was up late last night trying to make sure everything was ready and I had all the right coupons so I only got maybe 3 or 4 hours of sleep. It was a good day though! :) I went to Publix and Kroger and then had lunch with my mom.

 

Here's how I did this week at Publix:

 

Total Before Coupons - $183.94

Total After Coupons - $52.73

Savings - $131.21

 

I was soooo excited when I left Publix!

 

 

Here's what I got:

**Price is how much I paid after coupons**

 

2 - Dial Foaming Hand Soap ($1.22 each)

4 - Alessi All Natural Pasta Sauce ($1.49 each)

4 - Campbell's Gravy ($0.63 each)

4 - Libbys Fruit Cups (FREE + overage!) 

6 - Ore-Ida Potatoes($0.89 each)

3 - Pillsbury Grands Biscuits ($0.73 each)

2 - Pillsbury Sweet Rolls (FREE!)

10 - Capri Sun 10pk. ($0.79 each)

3 - Domino Pure Cane Sugar 5lb. ($1.49 each)

9 - Idahoan Mashed Potatoes ($0.12 each)

4 - Scotties Facial Tissue ($0.13 each)

9 - Kibbles n' Bits Dog Food ($1.50 each)

2 - Colgate Toothpaste ($0.99 each)

2 - Colgate Toothbrushes ($0.99 each)

 

**The penny item was Publix Bran Flakes Cereal**

 

My mom added it up and I got 64 items for $52.74 which means each item cost me $0.82 each! :)))) 

 

Here's how I did at Kroger:

 

Total Before Coupons - $69.22

Total After Coupons - $45.63

Total Savings - $23.59

 

Not as good as Publix, but I have to keep reminding myself that it's because I bought meat!

 

 

I got:

 

1 - Kroger Bread ($1.00)

1 - Kroger Hamburger Buns ($1.00)

2 - Maruchan Yakisoba (FREE!)

2 - Pom Wonderful Juice (FREE!)

2 - Tennessee Pride Sausage ($1.00 each)

1 - Kroger Flour 5lb. ($1.99)

2 - Tyson Boneless Chicken Breasts ($1.79lb.)

1 - Kroger 5lb bag Jumbo Russet Potatoes ($3.99 I think??)

4 - Suave Body Wash ($1.17 each)

1 - Boneless Pork Tenderloin ($2.99lb.)

1 - Kroger Fresh Ground Chuck ($13.45)

 

Publix & Kroger Combined

Total Before Coupons - $253.16

Total After Coupons - $98.36

Savings - $154.80

 

 

My sister (who lives nearly 2 hours away) will be here later and I can't wait! I get to do this all over again tomorrow with her because she does her shopping on Thursdays and since she doesn't have a Kroger near her she's coming here to shop! We have so much fun together so I know it'll be a good day!
