    Kara's 12/19/2012 Publix Trip

Hey ya'll! Sorry this post is so late. I've been enjoying spending time with family and eating lots of yummy food so I figured it could wait a little longer this time! :)

Did you have a wonderful Christmas???
I got a new laptop that runs windows 8 (which I LOVE btw!) and this is my first blog post with it so I'm super excited! I loved all the family time and my mom made an amazing Christmas dinner. Of course our refrigerator decided to mess up that night though so ALL of our leftovers ruined along with some other things. :( I am still very sad about it!

I didn't make it to Publix the day after Christmas because I was busy and wasn't able to get a list together so this is my haul from the week before.

    Total before coupons - $102.59
    Total after coupons - $43.10
    Total savings - $59.49

Here's what I got and what I paid for each item after coupon:

    2 - Armour Meatballs ($1.99 each)
    4 - Bertolli Pasta Sauces ($0.64 each)
    2 - GM Chex Mix ($0.28 each)
    2 - Hunt's Ketchup ($0.88 each)
    2 - Kraft Mayo (-$0.36 overage!)
    6 - Heinz Homestyle Gravy ($0.66 each)
    6 - Idahoan Mashed Potatoes ($0.12 each)
    4 - Pepsi 2L ($0.93 each)
    1 - Always Pads ($6.07)
    1 - Publix Sliced Cheese ($2.34)
2 - Hillshire Farm Lunch Meat ($5.99 each)
    6 - Ronzoni Pasta ($0.35 each)
1 - Publix Pasta Sauce (penny item)
1 - Publix Ground Pork (I meant to get ground beef, oops!) ($4.58)

Not my best, but there were some things I didn't have coupons for that we had to have.

I hope you had a great Christmas and you have a Happy New Year!
Also, Happy Couponing in 2013! (It's strange to think I won't coupon again til next year)

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Kayla's Publix Trip 12.20.12

I hope y'all had a very Merry Christmas & are keeping warm! It's been a cold, rainy, yucky mess here for the past few days.
I didn't buy much this week, compared to most weeks anyway. My stockpile has made it possible to buy less & less each week, so while some of you consider it "hoarding" I see it as a sort of safety net....and I'm very proud of it, haha:)
I feel like I did pretty well this week though, I made money on several items so that always makes me happy! My total would've been much lower if not for having to buy my dear husband his beloved Diet Mt. Dews, they were BOGO this week though so I won't complain too much.
Now, on to the good stuff:)

    ***not pictured- 2 Breakstone's 16oz Sour Cream & 1 Diet Mt. Dew***

Well, I'll see y'all next year!

New $5 off $30 Printable Target Grocery Coupon!

    Happy Sunday y'all:)
I hope everyone is keeping warm, it's rained all day here so I've spent the day printing & clipping coupons, of course! I just found this $5 off $30 grocery coupon on Target.com & had to share it with everyone! If your Publix considers Target a competitor, they'll accept it! Just be sure to check your local Publix's coupon policy frequently before heading out, they are subject to change at anytime and you don't want to get in there and have any surprises at the register!

You can print the coupon twice:) It can be found by clicking the link above (not the picture) or HERE.

Just be quick, it'll probably run out pretty fast!

    Happy couponing!

    Kayla's Publix, Kroger & Target Deals 12.13.12

    I'm a terrible blogger y'all.
I get so side-tracked that I completely forget to share my trips here:(

I've not shared my last few weeks trips but I'm happy to say that I've now ventured into couponing at Kroger AND Target, along with Publix, of course! It's been a learning curve but I love it. Since I've been MIA the past few weeks, I'm pretty excited to share this weeks trip with y'all....I finally got my entire grocery total under $100 (not counting Target)...$96.52 to be exact!!! That's been a goal of mine since the beginning:)
I've decided I'm going to try including the price I pay for each item, after coupons. I really enjoy seeing a price breakdown on other couponers' hauls, I thought y'all might too! Let me know if there's anything else you'd like included and I'll do my best to make it happen:)
Anyway, enough rambling, on to the fun stuff!

    Publix 12.13.12

    Total Before Coupons - $249.06

    Total After Coupons - $84.78

    Savings - $164.28

I forgot to put the dog food in the first picture and had already put everything away
    before realizing it:(
I've told y'all before but I'll say it again, I'm definitely NOT a photographer, please excuse my low quality pictures!

If your Publix considers them a competitor, be on the lookout for those coupons! We'll try to share when we find them.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, on to the trip I'm the most proud of this week, Target! I went in there for the Suave Body Wash because it was a much better deal there than anywhere else....I left with 6-12 months worth of razors for almost freeeeeeeee, TWO $5 gift cards, the 4 body washes I had originally went in for (they were 50% more value size bottles too, Score!) and a catalina coupon for $1.50 off any one Schick HydroSilk Razor or Refill (that's the type of razors I bought)  I was on Cloud Nine!!! If you see a deal, ALWAYS check your coupons! I carry mine with me everywhere I go, you never know when you'll need them:)

    Target 12.13.12

    Total Before Coupons - $70.74

    Total After Coupons - $26.76

    Savings - $43.98 + $10 in Gift Cards & $1.50 coupon

To get the razor deal, I stacked two BOGO coupons (worth $12.99 each!) & two $2.00 off coupons...Target had the razors on sale for $9.49 and the 4 pack refills were $14.99. They had a promotion going on where if you bought two razors or refills they would give you a $5 gift card, I bought four, so I ended up with $10 in gift cards:)

That means I only paid $18.98 for 10 razor refills & 2 razors! If I subtract the $10 gift cards it would mean I really only paid $8.98 for them, that's less than just ONE of the razors would've cost me!!!!

The Suave Body Wash was a really great deal too, it was on 'price-cut' for $1.44 each and I had two $1/2 coupons, meaning I only paid $0.94 each. I even lucked up & got the value size bottle that had 50% more in them:)

I had a great time shopping Thursday with my sister and had a wonderful lunch at Olive Garden with her & our Mother. I can't wait for next week's trip! :)
Y'all have a wonderful week, a Merry Christmas & happy couponing!

    Kara's Kroger & Publix Trip! 12/5/12

Hello! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far! I did my weekly shopping trip this morning and stocked up on quite a few things! I decided to shop Kroger this week too because Publix only had a few things in the ad that we needed and Kroger was having a better sale on meat. I get so confused with Kroger's coupon policy though and I never do as well as I'd like to when I shop there, but I still like to try because I'm confident that eventually it'll just click and i'll have it figured out!

So here's how I did at Kroger:

    Before Coupons - $151.36
    After Coupons - $90.57
    Savings - $60.79

    I got:

    10 - All Laundry Detergents :)))))
    6 - Tombstone Pizza
    3 - Hamburger Helper
    2 - Quaker Cookies
    4 - Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 - Progresso Recipe Starter (I found these on clearance!)
    2 - Campbell's Skillet Sauces
    1 - Kroger Hamburger Buns
    1 - Kroger Hotdog Buns
    1 - Kroger Loaf Bread
2 - Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
    1 - Fresh Ground Chuck
    2 - Hillshire Farm Sausage
    2 - Jimmy Dean Sausage
1 - Kroger Large Eggs (free wyb sausage!)

    & here's how I did at Publix:

    Before Coupons - $133.11
    After Coupons -$58.67
    Savings - $74.44

    I got:

7 - Angel Soft 12 Double Rolls Toilet Paper (so proud of these!)
    3 - Wisk Laundry Detergent
    4 - Dial Body Wash
    1 - 8pk. Juicy Juice
1 - Publix Hot Chocolate  (penny item!!)
    5 - Foldger Coffee Refills
    4 - Simply Cut Potatoes
    1 - Lipton Green Tea

My favorite things to stockpile are paper towels and anything laundry or bathroom related! It never gets old and you're always gonna need it! lol The toilet paper ended up being about .37 cents a roll which comes out to be approximately 0.011 cents per square foot. It was definitely a great stock up price! We were desperately needing to stock up on Laundry Detergent because we are about out so I was very glad that it was on sale this week!

All total (Kroger & Publix) I was able to get $284.47 worth of groceries for $149.24! Savings of $135.23!

    I LOVE Coupons! :)

    Thanks for stopping by!
